PROGRAMME

10.00 – 11.00 am Q&A with agent Cynthia Okoye

Cynthia works for Curtis Brown, representing screenwriters and directors.

11.15 am – 12.45 pm Soni Jörgensen’s lecture

Organic Storytelling

Most scripts I read as a script consultant focus either on the external story (plot) or the internal story (main character’s emotions/journey) and thus fail to engage the reader. To keep the audience emotionally engaged a script needs a strong external and internal story organically connected. This lecture is based on the filmmaker Frank Daniel’s approach to organic storytelling through the tool WANT vs. NEED and shows some examples on how it can be applied.

14.00 – 16.00 Tomáš Bombic’s talk

Case Study: writing Justice

Tomáš Bombic will talk about writing the miniseries Justice, evolving as a writer, the process of writing a TV series and his personal experience on this project. He will also discuss how to approach the audience, especially millennials. Justice has received the Golden Kingfisher Award and the Czech Lion award. The miniseries will be made available for viewing for registered participants.

Schedule changes:
unfortunately Uwe Philipp from the Semmelbond Script Agency (Germany) won’t be able to attend.
